As Galaphile walked up toward the Hadeshorn the temperature dropped significantly the higher up the mountain he rose. As he climbed he prepared himself mentally for what he was about to do; summon the Shade of a once-powerful Druid, Tay Trefenwyd. He needed to speak with Tay about some very important issues if he was to save the Fourth Druid Council. As he reached the edge of the Hadeshorn itself he stopped short, knowing all to well how deadly its' waters were to a living being. He started the summon, and completed it more or less without a hitch, for he survived, and the summons was answered. He could never have been ready for what happened next.
The entirety of the lake exploded around him, forcing him to call up the most powerful protective shield in a Druids' arsenal. When the waters finally subsided the Shade of Tay was indeed there. And it reached out and grabbed Galaphile by the front of his tunic and lifted him clear off of his feet, and swiftly glided into the middle of the lake.
"I could drop you here, just as much as i can answer why you summoned Druid; for I DO know why I was summoned by you...Galaphile." said the Shade in it's eerily ethereal voice that seemed to echo all around the canyon. "I will, however, tell you what you need to know, and whether or not you live depends on if you can pay the price for the information. The answer you seek lies in the Gardens Of Life, with one you would call an enemy, meet him there in one weeks time if you wish to save what you have started."
"And what is the 'price' i must pay if i am to survive." Galaphile asked with what courage he could muster; he went straight to the heart of the matter, he didn't know how much longer he could remain here-or how much longer the Shade could sustain itself..
"You shall see soon enough," and with that that Tay Tefenwyd's Shad flung him clear across the canyon, where he struck his head and slumped, unconscious, to the ground. The last lucid thought he had was how would he ever get to the Garden's of life in one week...
